Alt Text Manager

The Alt Text Manager displays alt text for all of the images and icons across your entire site, all on a single screen. In the Alt Text Manager, you can add and update alt text for individual images, or better yet, add alt text to all images at once using AI Assistant.

Accessing Image Alt Text Manager

There are two ways to access the Image Alt Text manager: from within the Media Manager in the builder, or from the Site Overview.

From the Media Manager:

• Click "Content" in the side menu.
• Click "Media Manager.
• Click the "All Alt Text" button located at the bottom left of the window.

From the Site Overview:

• Navigate to the Site Overview from the project dashboard (see our Site Overview doc here).
• From the left sidebar click SEO > Image Alt Text.

Using AI Assistant to Generating Alt Text

While on the Image Alt Text management screen you can use the purple "Generate Alt Text" button at the top right of the screen to automatically generate alt text using the AI assistant. This feature allows you to generate alt text for all images and icons across the site or selectively for images and icons that are missing it.

Applying Alt Text to Individual Images Throughout the Site

AI Assistant can be used to analyze a photo's content and generate instant and accurate alt text from within select widgets that have an Alt Text field. Image alt text (also called alt tags and alt descriptions) plays an important role in your website by improving accessibility, organic inbound traffic and user experience.

AI Assistant is available in the Image Alt Text field in the following widgets:

• Photo Gallery
• Image Slider
• Media Slider
• Icon
