Global Text
You can set global text styling to ensure that your site has overall consistency in font, size, and other text considerations.
Note: when you set styling in the Global Text menu it changes ALL text on the site, but you can override the global style by making edits to individual elements, such as the content in a text widget. You can also update global styles within the editor using text widgets.
Select the Design tab from the left section and click “Global Text.” From this section you can change font type, size, color, format, direction, and link options.
If you scroll down to the Global Title sections, you can change heading and subheading properties. Select the appropriate one – H1, H2, etc – and set the appropriate aspects.
Use the More options dropdown menu to access more attributes:
- Font Weight
- Line Height
- Letter Spacing
- All Caps
- Text Shadow
Note: the different labels refer to different headings and subheadings. For example, H1 refers to main heading and H2 refers to subheadings of this main one (and so on).
You can also use any Text widget to apply a new style to your global styles. This can be done anywhere in the site editor.
Within a Text widget:
- Set the text type (ie: paragraph text, Heading 1 - 6)
- Style your text
- Using the text type dropdown, select the Update Global... option.
