Dynamic Pages: Introduction
Dynamic Pages is a massively powerful tool providing a world of possibilities for your websites and your clients, and allows you to create large websites with numerous pages of content – all generated by a single dynamic page template you build just once.
By converting a page in your site to dynamic, you have the ability to link this page with a dataset from Google Sheets, Airtable, or your own external database. This dynamic page will not be a page that you can navigate to on the live published site; it will instead be a template of sorts that generates new pages on the live site “frontend” by pulling specific data from your datasets. Dynamic pages have unique URL’s and benefit from proper SEO.
This means that an unlimited number of pages on your live site can be generated from a single dynamic page in your site’s “backend.” This feature is perfect for sites that require an extensive number of pages that share the same layout, but with new information such as real estate listings, vacation rentals, recipes, team members and more.
In our documentation, we’ll take a detailed look at using Dynamic Pages, as well as learn how to use Connected Data-linked widgets to build fully dynamic websites that are powered by data within spreadsheets. Imagine using spreadsheet data your client has already provided to power an entire website that is updated automatically when new data is added!
